  • An anomaly occurred on 22 May 2013; back to operations after a few weeks. Continuity was provided by GOES-14 from 105°W.
  • The satellite was moved to 60*W in January 2018.
  • Commanded to storage mode configuration in February 2018.
  • Moved to DoD in October 2019 and re-named EWS-G1.  Considered inactive for CGMS/WMO purposes.
  • Based on remaining fuel estimates, EWS-G1 is projected to reach the end of its service life in February 2024.
