Programme description
  • Two-satellite programme for land observation.  Original name: “Momo” = “Peach tree”).
  • Japanese programme: JAXA (at the time: NASDA) responsible of development and operations.
  • Platforms actively stabilised over 3 axes.
  • Design lifetime: 2 years.
  • Sunsynchronous orbits around 10:30.
  • Replacement policy: launches at 3-year intervals.

  • Onboard stored and real-time data downlinked to JAXA stations.
