BackForward Variable: HCFC-22

Definition
Full name HCFC-22
Definition 3D field of amount of HCFC-22 (hydrochlorofluorocarbon-22, or R-22expressed in moles) divided by the total amount of all constituents in dry air (also expressed in moles).
Measuring Units dimensionless (mol/mol) Uncertainty Units dimensionless (mol/mol)
Horizontal Res Units km Vertical Res Units km
Stability Units dimensionless (mol/mol) (Stability /decade)

Comment: HCFC-22 is an halogen source, specifically of F, responsible of ozone depletion to an extent only 5% of CFC-12. It is therefore used for cryogenic application instead of CFC.
