Comprehensive Solar Wind Laboratory for Long-Term Solar Wind Measurements

  • Single satellite programme, for solar-terrestrial interaction studies.
  • Programme developed and operated by NASA.
  • The platform is spin-stabilised, with spin axis normal to the ecliptic plane.
  • The design life time of the satellite is 3 years.
  • The satellite is placed on the L1 Lagrange libration point (1,500,000 km from the Earth surface in the Sun direction).
