Purpose To measure the composition, timing and distribution functions of suprathermal and energetic particles. Scientific topics to be addressed include the sources, acceleration mechanisms, and transport processes of these particles
Short description Package of 5 units: a) The SupraThermal Electrons Ions and Neutrals Telescope (STEIN); b) The Electron Proton Telescope (EPT); c) The Low Energy Telescope (LET); d) The High Energy Telescope (HET); and e) The Suprathermal Ion Spectrograph (SIS). The energy ranges are: 0.002-20 MeV (electrons), 0.003-100 MeV (protons), 0.005-200 MeV/n (ions)
